October 12 , 2009- Zerusa Limited and Vascular Solutions Announce FDA Market Clearance for the Next Generation Guardian II Hemostasis Valve

MINNEAPOLIS, Minnesota and GALWAY, Ireland – Zerusa Limited and Vascular Solutions, Inc. (Nasdaq:VASC) today announced that they have received 510(k) clearance with the FDA for the sale of the Guardian® II Next Generation hemostasis valve in the United States. 

Under the terms of an agreement between the two companies from July 2007, Vascular Solutions is the exclusive distributor of the Guardian device in the United States.  Zerusa recently began the rollout of its CE marked Guardian II launch through its distribution network in Europe, the Middle East and other markets.

September 30, 2009- R ollout for CE marked Guardian II begins

Today Zerusa begins the launch of its CE marked Next Generation Guardian II Hemostasis Valve. “We’re very excited to be able to offer this new technology to the EU market” comments CEO Liam Mulloy. “The incisive market feedback received on Guardian from our partners and customers has now been incorporated via device enhancements into Guardian II and we’re confident that this superior device will deliver in the marketplace”. Zerusa will continue to supply Guardians and Guardian kits for a transition period, but plans on being fully transitioned to Guardian II by the end of Q1 2010.

September 22 , 2008 – Zerusa Limited announces the launch of the EU Guardian™ kit 

Zerusa Limited, Galway, Ireland, today announced it has received a CE mark for its new Guardian™ kit product.   Zerusa's CEO Ger Brett commented, "This new product was developed at the request of the physicians who want to have the convenience of a Guidewire Torque device and Sidearm Extension Tubing included within the Guardian Hemosasis Valve pack.  The Sidearm Extension Tubing is available in 25cm and 50cm lengths.  We would like to thank those physicians and our distributors who provided us with the important feedback which has led to the launch of the new product."
